The holidays can be stressful enough without worrying about the appearance of your smile. If stained teeth are making you hesitate over attending holiday parties or smiling in photos, a quick visit to your dentist can solve the problem.

At Broadmoor Dental in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Dr. Nicolas Pruett and Dr. John Goodman are committed to giving you the cosmetic treatment you need for a brilliant, sparkling, shiny white smile. One call can get you fast, easy teeth whitening appointment and you’ll be party and photo-ready for the holidays.

Teeth whitening basics

Your teeth can become stained by nicotine use, caffeine consumption in drinks like coffee, tea, or dark sodas, frequent drinking of red wine, and other factors. Different teeth shades can also have a genetic component.

While stained teeth don’t necessarily mean your oral hygiene is at fault or that you have decay, stains can make your smile look unattractive and unhealthy. This can cause harm to your self-image and damage your self-esteem and self-confidence.

Fortunately, teeth whitening can resolve many issues, brightening your smile by several shades and giving you the boost you need to attend holiday parties and smile with confidence in holiday photos.

Zoom!® teeth whitening

Zoom!® Teeth Whitening can brighten your smile by up to eight shades in a single appointment. This process works on extrinsic stains (stains on or near the surface of your teeth). The process takes about an hour total, and you’ll be comfortable in the relaxed setting of your treatment room.

First, Dr. Pruett or Dr. Goodman protects your gums from the brightening agents. Then they’ll paint a hydrogen peroxide-based gel onto the surfaces of your teeth. Finally, a lamp is used to shine a specific type of concentrated light directly on your teeth to activate the gel.

You’ll have three 15-minute sessions with the light, then your teeth and gums will be thoroughly rinsed. You’ll be able to see the difference immediately. Your teeth and gums may be sensitive for a few days after treatment, but this should wear off quickly.

The Zoom! procedure has been proven to be safe and effective when applied correctly by a trained dental professional. Dr. Goodman and Dr. Pruett are trained in the use of Zoom! for teeth whitening and can ensure the correct protocol is followed for amazing results.
