WHAT IS CLASSIFIED A DENTAL EMERGENCY DURING THIS CRISIS IN COLORADO?

A dental emergency is specifically defined by regulatory bodies at this time.  Part of the screening process will be to access whether your dental need classifies as a dental emergency.  The Colorado Dental Association has defined and has communicated with Governor Polis as to the emergency care needs to include a state of:

  • Severe dental pain
  • Dry socket after an extraction
  • Tooth fracture
  • Tooth avulsion/luxation from trauma
  • Final crown delivery if the temporary is broken or lost
  • Dental treatment required prior to critical medical procedures
  • Any other emergent/urgent issue that “corrects a serious medical condition” and allows the patient to forego a trip to the hospital emergency room or urgent care facility
  • Uncontrolled Bleeding
  • Swelling, cellulitis, abscess
  • Facial trauma
  • Biopsies that cannot wait 6 weeks

PREDICTED NORMAL OPERATIONS DATE: APRIL 14, 2020

At this point, Governor Polis has not changed the date of Monday, April 14, 2020 as the date where normal dental procedures, meaning elective care or care that can be postponed, may resume again for Broadmoor Dental.  We are actively scheduling regular care like cleanings, cosmetic dentistry, fillings, crowns and so-on, as of April 14.

As we are literally catching up with your care needs, our office will be extending clinic hours, and operations until such time that your care is caught up. Please call 719-576-5566 to schedule now as there is a bit of competition for the most convenient treatment times slots already occurring.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING DURING THIS TRYING TIME.  WE ARE, AND ALWAYS WILL BE HERE FOR YOU.
